How Do You Really Support LGBTQ+ Youth Today?
Sunday, October 24
1:30 - 2:30 PM Eastern
While youth today are coming out to greater support, visibility, and acceptance, they still face tremendous challenges from family acceptance, to self-harm, to housing insecurity and more. This workshop, presented by Chris Bright, Director of Public Training for The Trevor Project, will help PFLAG members and leaders understand what current research tells us about issues that queer youth face in their families, schools, and communities today. They will also learn about the impact of our current political climate, COVID-19, and more on LGBTQ+ youth and what PFLAG chapters can do to provide meaningful support for youth in their communities.
