PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.
LaTissia Mitchell is the Foundation and Corporate Giving Senior Coordinator for PFLAFG National. In this role, she coordinates strategies for soliciting private, family, and corporate foundation grants and sponsorships, with the Director of Development and other relevant staff. She is also responsible for writing proposals and reports to foundations and corporate partners.
She brings a passion for social justice to her work as a grant professional, and has worked with and supported non-profit organizations for over 12 years. Prior to joining PFLAG National, LaTissia was a Grant Writer with Elevate, a consulting firm that offers grant writing services and foundation support to local and national non-profits, and was Executive Development Specialist with the National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty, a legal advocacy organization dedicated to ending homelessness through the law. LaTissia holds a master's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and she earned a bachelor's degree with honors from Stanford University in Comparative Literature. She is a member of the Grant Professionals Association.
