Founded in 1973, PFLAG is the first and largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and their families. PFLAG’s network of hundreds of chapters and more than 325,000 members and supporters works to create a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.
Sachelle Brooks joined PFLAG National in October 2019 as the Chapter Engagement Coordinator. Her focus is to work in collaboration with the Regional Director’s Council to support chapter engagement and advance a portfolio of programs that benefit the chapters of PFLAG.
Before joining PFLAG National, Sachelle was the Membership & Programs Coordinator for NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists. She worked to expand regional chapters, coordinated and developed programs, and recruited new members into the association. She is excited to expand her horizons and support another LGBTQ-focused organization, such as PFLAG.
Graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University at Madison, NJ, where she pursued a major in Communications and double minored in Public Relations and Political Communications with a focus in crisis management.
