If 50% of voters vote in the upcoming midterm election, it would be the highest midterm turnout in a century.

Don’t get left behind.

Don’t let anyone you care about be left behind.

Make a plan and vote, and urge everyone in your circles to vote, too.

Health insurance coverage for people with pre-existing conditions is under attack. We fought so hard to include non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people in the Affordable Care Act (Section 1557), and accessible, affordable healthcare is key to our families’ well-being.

You -- and everyone you know -- can vote in a way to protect you and your loved ones from losing these at-risk rights, by voting for leaders and legislation that supports PFLAG’s vision of a diverse, inclusive world with equality for all.

Act now. We only have a week left.

  1. Volunteer: Sign up at nonpartisan Headcount.org and find opportunities to volunteer across the country to celebrate and promote voting and voters between today and November 6th, Election Day.
  2. Commit to vote and spread the word: Email, text or call five friends or family members to vote on or before Nov. 6th, and let us know this is DONE at https://www.facebook.com/events/176633546601970/
  3. Be ready before you go to vote: Make everyone in your networks know that they can preview and get their ballot ready now at www.pflagnation.al/ballotready
  4. Show the world you voted: Frame yourself with this PFLAG “I voted” frame, in English here and in Spanish here.

Remember (and tell everyone) that you can call 866-OUR-VOTE for assistance if anyone faces any issues while attempting to vote or while securing a provisional ballot. And be sure to check out PFLAG National’s resource page blog to find even more information on voting and getting out the vote.

Vote like lives depend on it. Because they do.
