Looking for easy-to-access programs for your chapter? Trying to create conversations about LGBT issues as a part of your work with other community groups? Looking for ideas on how to start conversations with new (and potential) chapter members?
Then consider learning more about “Something to Talk About” and “Talking Inclusively,” two exciting new resources from the Learning & Inclusion team.
How do they work?
Twice a month, beginning in February, we’ll offer an article on LGBTQ, intersectional, and diversity & inclusion topics and suggest a few questions to really get the conversation started. All you need to do is share the post and start talking.
Where it goes from there is up to you! You could use these resources to create conversations online, one-on-one with friends and family, or as a part of your chapter meeting.
The articles and questions will be featured on the PFLAG National blog, the Straight for Equality website, and we’ll share them on social media (so be sure to like PFLAG National and Straight for Equality on Facebook and follow PFLAG National and Straight for Equality on Twitter to stay connected!).
If you (or your chapter) use these new resources, or run across an article you’d like to share widely, send it our way. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to share your thoughts.
