Welcome to Something to Talk About, a monthly series designed by PFLAG National’s Straight for Equality program to create conversation about LGBTQ issues. Questions for Discussion:

  1. How do you feel about corporate involvement at Pride in your community? What impact do you think seeing a popular brand represented in the parade has on onlookers?
  2. If your company sponsors Pride or hosts a float, what does that mean to you as an LGBTQ employee? If your company does not sponsor Pride or host a float, what would in mean to you if your company planned to in 2018?
  3. Have you heard of groups and events like No Justice No Pride or the Boston Dyke March designed to protest increasing corporate involvement in Pride? Have any of these protesters been at a Pride event you attended? What were your feelings? Do you understand their viewpoint? Do you agree or disagree?
