In February 2017, Kaiser Health News identified a new “diagnosis”—Post-Election Stress Disorder—to explain increased problems with sleep, anxiety, concentration, depression since the November election. We must take care of ourselves to be centered and effective advocates in the current political environment. Using simple methods to balance our energy results in better physical, mental, and emotional health—so we can continue to be compassionate and effective advocates without burning out. Participants will be will be led through quick, simple techniques for maintaining and regaining your balance. These techniques come from Healing Touch, Eden Energy Medicine, and HeartMath. You will leave feeling centered and balanced with your energy system humming. And you will have a toolbox of stress-management techniques to take home.

Presenter Bio

Cathy Campbell is a Licensed Professional  and Healing Touch Practitioner with a part-time private practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She works with many LGBTQ clients, especially with transgender clients. She is also president of PFLAG of Northwest Arkansas and the mother of an adult transgender man. Her holistic approach to counseling is based on awareness that physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health are intimately related. Helping clients learn to manage stress is a key part of her practice because unremitting stress is at the root of many disorders.
