Oakland A's outfielder Matt Joyce was suspended by Major League Baseball for two games after calling an Angels fan an anti-LGBT slur in a heated exchange during a game in Anaheim. He apologized for the homophobic remark the next day. In addition to donating his lost pay from his suspension to PFLAG National, Joyce received ally training via our Director of Learning & Inclusion, Jean-Marie Navetta.
