Lisa Seelmann is the vice president of PFLAG Port Huron, a local chapter of a national organization that exists to support and advocate for those in the LGBTQ community, families, friends and allies. "We are obviously very saddened by the backward progress of our administration," Seelmann said. "But we as a group are resilient. Many of our members are looking for ways to be more visible in the community."
Founded in 1973, PFLAG is the first and largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and their families. PFLAG’s network of hundreds of chapters and more than 325,000 members and supporters works to create a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.
