Launched in October 2021, PFLAG Connects: Communities (PCC) has quickly become a mainstay of PFLAG National’s work to increase diversity and inclusion efforts. Through the creation of support meetings specifically for those from the AAPI, Black, and Latino communities, we can continue to meet people where they are. Culturally competent and relevant support is crucial for families who live at the intersection of LGBTQ+ issues and marginalized races. This interview-style session, bringing together facilitators from our three PCC meetings, will offer advice, resources, and a deeper insight into why these community-specific spaces are so important. If you want to learn more about how to support diverse populations in your local communities, this is the session for you.

One of our key goals is to help you take the information that you learned in this session and use it to make your chapter stronger and more effective. To do that, we’ve created this page to provide you with tools, resources, and references to materials mentioned in the workshop. As always, the PFLAG National staff is here to help. If you have any questions, comments, or just need some good advice, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
