PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.
The last year has been a challenge for so many people, including the LGBTQ+ community. PFLAG members and supporters everywhere have been working overtime to ensure that our LGBTQ+ kids of all ages know they are loved, valued, and affirmed.
Now, we want to thank and uplift all of the parenting people who have shown up to provide that support and give their love, not just in the last year, but every day since our founding nearly 50 years ago.
Join us on Sunday, May 23rd at 2pm ET/11am PT for PFLAG Parent Day (#PFLAGParentDay), a celebration of all of the parenting people—moms, dads, and nonbinary parents; parents by blood, foster care, and adoption; found/chosen family; educators, healthcare workers, and more—who show up for LGBTQ+ folks.
We'll have great conversations, musical performances, and fun surprise appearances, live on Facebook and YouTube (both with closed captions available), with additional #PFLAGParentDay content on Instagram.
And most exciting? You can play a part in this year’s PFLAG Parent Day celebration! Do you have a significant parent/parenting person—moms, dads, and nonbinary people; parents by blood, foster care, and adoption; found/chosen family; educators, healthcare workers, and more—who’s made an impact on your life? Submit a short, 20-30 second video expressing your gratitude for your parenting person, and it could be included in our festivities and promo leading up to the event. Review these quick tips to help you set up your video for success and, when you’re ready, upload your video here. Be sure to include your pronouns with your name and an email address you check regularly!
We can't wait to celebrate with you!
