Being part of a PFLAG chapter comes with lots of successes and many questions. Our work is not easy. However, there is one person who can help your chapter navigate the challenges and celebrate the victories: your Regional Director. Each volunteer Regional Director oversees several states in one of thirteen Regions. Regional Directors work to start new chapters and trouble shoot the inevitable concerns that are a part of our work. You should know your Regional Director! We are here to help. So come spend time with your Regional Director, and other chapter leaders from your state and region, and let’s talk. Bring your questions, your concerns, your hopes, and your successes. Your Regional Director won’t have all the answers, but the best ideas start with a conversation. See you there!
Chad Reumann, PFLAG National Regional Director
Chad originally hails from Ohio, moved to Connecticut in 2000, then to San Antonio, TX in 2002. Chad started attending PFLAG support meetings in 2012, conveying to parents they can either have a negative or positive role supporting their child when they come out. This experience helped Chad on the journey to forgive his own mother. After serving on the local HRC Board of Governors Steering Committee from 2007 to 2015, Chad joined the Board of PFLAG San Antonio, providing support with Social Media and Membership. In September 2016, Chad was elected President of the chapter, and continues to serve in that role. Chad loves knowing he can make a positive impact on a family’s future, after the rejection and pain he experienced coming out in 1993; he considers it to be the best gift he can give.
