Maggie Ardiente (she/her) is the Director of Development at PFLAG National, where she leads the organization’s fundraising programs, including individual giving, corporate philanthropy, foundation grants, event sponsorships, and planned giving.
She has over 15 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and communications and has appeared in national media such as NPR, Fox News, Washington Post, and Huffington Post. Prior to PFLAG, Maggie served as Director of Development and Communications for the National Homelessness Law Center and the American Humanist Association. She is Board President of the Secular Coalition for America and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy.
Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, Maggie graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from James Madison University and received an executive certificate in nonprofit management from Georgetown University. She lives in Washington, DC with her spouse, Roy Speckhardt, and is a proud PFLAG stepmom to two kids, Johanna and Max.
