Founded in 1973, PFLAG is the first and largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and their families. PFLAG’s network of hundreds of chapters and more than 325,000 members and supporters works to create a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.
Fendey Jean-Baptiste joined PFLAG National as Individual Giving Coordinator in June 2022. He brings years of experience in fundraising and program management. His commitment to the principles of equality motivates him to work every day. This commitment led him to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow, where he developed curriculum and programs for six District of Columbia Public Schools.
Before joining PFLAG National, Fendey worked at The Coalition for Reimagined Mobility, where he developed internal policy processes. He also worked for The Order of St John, a chivalric organization that administers eyecare to children and the elderly in the West Bank and Gaza Stripe areas in Palestine.
Fendey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. Born and raised in Boston, he calls Washington, D.C. home. When he is not working, you can find him in a museum or bookstore.
