Kevin Toovey is an experienced and dedicated non-profit leader, development manager, and LGBTQ advocate. His journey with PFLAG began after discovering a local chapter while seeking personal support. Soon after, he started volunteering at PFLAG Seattle events and eventually joined their board of directors.
Toovey has also served as President of Seattle Pride, the non-profit that has put on the Seattle Pride Parade and festival for over 45 years, as well as serving as a director with the PFLAG Washington State Council. He is actively involved in civil rights and social action and is passionate about using his skills to help non-profits tell their stories, connect with communities, and drive impactful change through technology.
Born and raised in New York City, Toovey currently resides in Seattle, Washington with his partner and three dogs. He received his education at the University of Washington with a Bachelor in Social Sciences, focusing on law, politics, and gender studies. When not working his full-time job or volunteering, he enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
