Safety Tips for PFLAG: Social Media Safety and Best Practices
Social media can be a great tool for connecting with PFLAG members, your local community, and others who need PFLAG resources and support. However, with the increase in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and rhetoric, it can also be a difficult place to navigate safely. In this session, we’ll provide best practices for staying safe online, how to navigate tough situations on social media, and our recommendations for making the most of your social media presence as well as your time spent on these platforms.
One of our key goals is to help you take the information that you learned in this session and use it to make your chapter stronger and more effective. To do that, we’ll provide with tools, resources, and references to materials mentioned in the workshop here as we approach the Thursday, March 20 presentation date!
As always, the PFLAG National staff is here to help. If you have any questions, comments, or just need some good advice, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
