Welcome to PFLAG Connects: Grandparent Community! These virtual meetings are open to grandparents of LGBTQ+ grandkids. Each meeting will be led by skilled facilitators who will guide attendees in receiving support, giving support, and finding resources to help their loved ones, families, and communities.
Additionally, every meeting will include a Gender Spectrum Breakout Room especially for grandparents of transgender and gender-diverse grandkids.
These 90-minute meetings will take place on the last Monday of each month, at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

November Meeting Resources:
Going Home For The Holidays…Or Any Days – A digital resource/article for navigating going home for the holidays as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and as a family member/ally to an LGBTQ+ family member.
Election Outcome Joint Statement – A joint statement signed by 150 LGBTQIA2S+ organizations, including 41 PFLAG chapters and PFLAG National.
Mental Health Toolkit (TWLOHA) – Mental Health Toolkit offering valuable support for LGBTQIA+ people facing the pressures of the 2024 U.S. general election from the organization To Write Love on Her Arms’ (TWLOHA).
Ideas for providing support to a child from a distance – Sometimes providing support to a loved one from a distance can be challenging. Some ideas include: sending loving texts, writing a card, connecting and sharing memes on social media, and even sharing your experience of joining a support/discussion group with your loved one.
Loving Elders (PFLAG NYC) – PFLAG NYC hosts monthly virtual support groups (1st Monday of every month at 7pm ET) for grandparents and intergenerational influences in the life of an LGBTQ+ person.
Loved and Lost: LGBTQ Suicide Bereavement Circle (PFLAG NYC) – PFLAG NYC hosts monthly virtual support groups (1st Tuesday of every month at 7pm ET) for those who have lost an LGBTQ+ loved one to suicide.
Gender Spectrum Resources – An organization whose mission is to create a gender-inclusive world for all children and youth. This webpage houses an exhaustive library of resources that encompass family, faith, education, medical, mental health, and additional resources.
Supporting your LGBTQ+ Grandchild – A PFLAG publication with additional resources for grandparents of LGBTQ+ children/adults.
