Chapter Engagement Manager

She, Her, Hers

(202) 558-5581

Abby joined PFLAG National in January 2024 as the Chapter Engagement Manager for the Southern region, supporting PFLAG chapters in the South with their development and continued success.

Before joining PFLAG National, Abby served as a community organizer and policy advocate at the local, state, regional, and national levels. She’s been advocating with and for queer youth and families since 2019, including establishing inclusive school policies across the South as well as promoting child welfare system change for LGBTQ youth in foster care. Before her advocacy work, she founded and managed a nonprofit arts program for youth in her community.

Abby lives right outside of Asheville, NC with her partner and their pack of pets and plant babies. She graduated with her Masters of Social Work in 2022 from Western Carolina University, where she received the John Lewis Good Trouble Award for her organizing work with trans students on campus. In her free time, Abby enjoys making art, exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains, and hosting her weekly radio show, Joyful Noise.
