PFLAG National On SCOTUS Muslim Ban Decision

June 28, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C.—PFLAG National—the nation’s first and largest organization uniting families, allies, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people—today issued the following statement from PFLAG National board president Jean Hodges regarding the U.S. Supreme Court decision to uphold the Muslim ban.

“It is shameful that the abhorrent shadow of discrimination has been cast on what should be a day of celebration of winning the freedom to marry three years ago on this date. Our Muslim loved ones are a rich and vital part of the fabric of our country: They are our family, our neighbors, our friends, our coworkers and co-congregants. PFLAGers everywhere are in solidarity with the Muslim community, who are so distressingly impacted by this ban. To them we say: We see you, we hear you, we are with you, and we will continue to fight for you and your families.”
