3) Come to our online meeting to learn about ways you can help our chapter, things like staffing our information booth at community events. We’ll also have time to brainstorm volunteering activities.

PFLAG Granby Launch Meeting

Emily Randall was elected to Congress in November 2024 and represents Washington’s 6th Congressional District, which includes the Olympic and Kitsap peninsulas and most of Tacoma. In January 2025, Randall became the first person of color, first woman, and first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to represent the WA-6 district in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is co-chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus and will talk about her experience as a queer Latina in Congress at a time when anti-LGBTQ+ legislation has increased significantly. Rep. Randall will speak for the first hour of the meeting, with the support portion during the second hour.

Our monthly online support meetings are open to all and provide a comfortable atmosphere of openness where parents, families, friends and LGBTQ+ individuals can share their experiences with others to learn how to support one another with love and pride.
