PFLAG Burbank hosts a monthly in person support meeting for LGBTQIA+ community members, family, loved ones, and allies on the 2nd Monday of each month.

Monthly Support & Connect Supper

A necessary book in the present climate, The Queer Allies Bible is a multi-generational resource designed to educate people to be inclusive, accepting, and affirming LGBTQIA+ allies. Book discussion dates include June 10/24 and July 8/22.

The group is open to LGBTQ+ persons, families, and friends. Topics range from parenting trans and nonbinary children to questions about correct language to supporting each other through tough times and so much more.

Facilitators conduct 3 simultaneous, separate support groups on the first Tuesday of every month: (1) Parents/friends/allies, (2) LGBTQ+ ADULTS (ages 18 and up), and (3) Teens age 13 through graduating high school. Groups meet in Sandy Springs, GA, and are not virtual.

WHAT TO EXPECT: In the adult groups, expect a warm welcome, presentation of group guidelines, and brief introductions, followed by a facilitated discussion based on the needs of attendees. Attendees may participate in the discussion or just observe–whatever they feel comfortable doing.

The teen groups include chatting, with options to play games and do crafts.

Who attends and information shared is confidential for all groups.
