Thinking Strategically: Developing an Ally Engagement Strategy for Your PFLAG Chapter
In 2007 PFLAG National launched the Straight for Equality program and has been engaging with new and potential allies in workplaces, healthcare settings, faith communities and more. However, we know that engaging allies in PFLAG chapter and LGBTQ+ organizing work – in real and meaningful ways that keeps them coming back for more – is often easier said than effectively done. PFLAG chapter leaders members, and supporters are invited to participate in a dialogue about how they can develop and fine-tune ally engagement strategies and create programs that are focused, intersectional, and effective.
Thanks for participating in PFLAG Academy Online! One of our key goals is to help you take the information that you learned in this session and use it to make your chapter stronger and more effective. To do that, we’ve created this page to provide you with tools, resources, and references to materials mentioned in the workshop. As always, the PFLAG National staff is here to help. If you have any questions, comments, or just need some good advice, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
